We have a 2 pounder!

"Sarge" has just passed the 2 pound mark, weighing in today at 2 lbs 1.45 oz. Lt. Dan is just a smidge behind him at 1 lb, 15.3 oz... and Sarge looks so much bigger!

Just thought I'd share my proud moment, as I've had the boys for about a month now and they just keep growing! I'll have to make a bigger cage! (Hubby will LOVE me and the pigs invading his computer desk space!)

Haha! Congratulations, getting them bigger and healthier. My boys keep getting bigger and bigger. My skinniest one (who's actually the longest), is 2lbs 2ozs.

Anyway, I know the feeling, and am happy for ya.

Ah! This reminds me I need to way my piggies today! I've been counting down the days 'till the two pound mark as well! I was certain my biggest boy would be two pounds last week, but don't you know he weighed in at one pound, fifteen ounces! & stubborn was his name-o. :P

Aw, that's great. My largest weighs in at a whopping 4 pounds. Now that's a fat piggy. He came to me this way, I am trying to get him to come down some.

Ha Ha just wait till they hit the 3 ib mark. If they do, one of my boys is right at 12 ibs 12 oz and my other is 3 ibs 9 oz. Almost a pound apart. And the funny thing is, well not really funny but I always thought it was sorta wierd the smaller pig (Charlie) is the dominent pig.

What a proud moment for you! My largest pig whose a female weighs in at around 2.5lbs and my smaller dominatent pig weighs in at just a little over a 1 & a half.

Just wait until they are all 2-3 pounds! When I take my boys out for grass eating time, I put them in a laundry basket. I take the 5 from one cage and then the 3 from the other cage. The 5 in one basket feel so heavy. I always laugh and tell my husband I have 12-15 pounds of piggy love in my basket.

It's so rewarding to see them grow & change! I'm sure your boys will grow up big & strong.

Two of my boys are nearing the 4 lb mark, and occasionally my husband will ask me "how many pounds of pigs do we have now?"

All this talk about pounds made me go weigh mine I never bothered before. Its kinda exciting. Mick the boy is 2 lb 12 oz Nicky is 2 lbs and Blixa 2lb 8oz.
Nick was the only good one she just sat there in the tub like a good little girl! So proud of her. The other two can sit on it for a while :P I wonder how fat they are going to get once they get on grass?

Fudge is 3.3 lb, the vet said at his checkup he's the biggest guinea pig he's ever seen. Nugget was 2.86lb also but Nug eats less than Fudge and gets more exercise, Fudge is a lazy pig.

I'm happy to report that all three of my boys are now over 2 lbs.

Sarge weighs 2 lbs 3.4 oz
Lt. Dan is at 2 lbs 1.5 oz
and Major Mogwai (still in QT) is now 2 lbs 1.3 oz. (He was a Craigslist piggy and when I got him, he was only 1 lb. 13 oz or so, as he was very squirmy it was hard to get a first weight... his bones are receding into happy meatiness, and he's getting more and more solid every day instead of frail feeling!)
