Re: new bedding?

It sounds like carefresh buts looks REALLY different. I can't help you there. Is it cheaper than carefresh? What are it's advantages? Do you know?

Re: new bedding?

its 10 pounds of litter for 20 bucks im not sure if thats expensive, its too late for math.
compared to carefresh's 50 liters for 20 dollars. some one help me with the math or you could get 40 pounds for 80 bucks. it sounds expensive . i have no idea about advantages thats why i asked.

Re: new bedding?

I saw that stuff at the feed store and felt the material and wasn't too enthusiastic about it. It felt like cardboard, and I wasn't too sure if it was very absorbent.

As far as pricing goes, you can usually get a 50 liter bag of carefresh for 16-22 dollars. For simplicity sake wel'll stick to $20. So the price of one liter of carefresh in a 50 liter bag for $20 is about 40 cents.

But for the eco bedding 10lbs is $20, so you are paying $2.00 a pound. And though a liter is less than a pound, I don't think the $1.60 increase in pounds over liters is justified enough for you to buy it.

With me 50 liters of care fresh can last a long long time since I blend it with woody pet. So as long as you mix carefresh with a cheaper bedding (Aspen?), then I think the $20 cost of it will be worth it.

Hope I helped answer your question.

Re: new bedding?

I've bought it once for my (now deceased) hamster. It's not worth it. It gets really nasty once they pee in it & starts to smell a lot quicker. I'd only suggest this as nesting material, but not actual bedding.
