Question Newbie Interpreting Cavy Behavior/Sounds

Forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong area or I've overlooked the answer to my question...

I'm a brand new one-cavy owner with the sweetest little girl named Daisy. Daisy and I are really building a good relationship, I think, and she's very loving. I should say I've never owned a guinea pig before so I'm still very much feeling my way here.

Today while holding Daisy and feeding her some parsley, she started behaving rather oddly. She munched a few sprigs happily (which is the cutest thing, but that's beside the point), then refused more. I figured she'd had enough and took the sprig I was offering away. She then started sniffing the air, crawling up in my hair, and nibbling on my shirt. Okay, so I thought she wanted more parsley. Nope, still refused. Then she started making these soft little squeak sounds while she sniffed my shirt and hands. It became rather erratic, so rather than overstimulate her, I put her back in her cage. She went to her hidey thing and laid down.

I left her alone for a while, then went back to pick her up and she was fine. But the same thing happened again, this time with bell peppers. What am I doing wrong? Was her behavior expressing overstimulation, happiness, what? Any help would be SO appreciated!

she probably had to go to the bathroom, do you give her veggies in the cage too or do you always hand feed her? my guinea pigs do that and its usually a sign they want to be in their cage for some reason or another

I have veggies in a little dish in her cage as well, but read that hand feeding enhances the whole bonding thing (true/false?). And that seems logical, I didn't even think about her having to go potty. So that was a "put me down before I poo on you" squeak, you think?

Edited to add: While I have fresh veggies in her cage, she doesn't seem to eat them and opts for pellets instead. She gobbles them up when I hand feed them to her.

My pig(I've had him for over a year) will start to tug on my shirt very hard or move around alot when he needs to go potty. He still leaves the odd poop here and there, but he's pretty cage-trained. Unless I have him out for more then two hours.

Our pigs do the sniffing/ quiet wheeking thing when we're holding them and they're feeling very happy and cuddly. The younger one will do that shortly before curling up on my chest and falling asleep. I think it just means she's happy!

I don't own a piggie yet,but I was going to say maybe she was just happy and wanted to play besides eat?
