I'm deeply worried about my cavy, George. He is not like other cavies. He is VERY timid and shy. He is now coming up to 2 in july. I was thinking, would another cavy bring out the best in him ?? Thanks in advance, Alan.

Re: In need of a friend ??? You should definitely try and get your George a friend. Whether it's another boy, or a spayed female. You should check your local animal shelter or PetFinder.com or Craigslist.com (though you might not want to trust if they say fe/male because they mostly get from petstores that are notorious for missexing) or google for rescues.

Re: In need of a friend ??? I adopted 2 boys back in January and one of them is such a fraidy cat. Very timid and shy, but very sweet. I adopted a 5 week old baby piggy and he is doing very well with him. He started "mothering" him. Mayble a younger pig would be good for him.

Re: In need of a friend ??? From my experience, shy pigs always seem to perk up some with a buddy.
