Piggy sounds? Well, last night, my two boys got each other's scent. Oreo is still in quarantine, so they haven't met yet. But the wind was just right and Tyler caught a whiff of Oreo's scent. This set up about an hours worth of running around and wheeking at the top of his little lungs. He'd climb up on top of his pigloo and wheek for all he was worth. Then Oreo heard and picked it up too. Then we had a piggy chorus going on. This eventually led to some really high pitched whistling noises. to describe it I'd say it went, "Wheek, wheek, wheek, eeeeeeeeee, wheek." does anyone know what that means? It was kinda cute at first, but then I thought maybe one or both was mad, or sad, or upset in some way.

Re: Piggy sounds? People around here will have great answers for you... also, if you google "guinea pig sounds", I found a great page that even has audio clips that gave me a really good idea of what my piggers were trying to communicate.

Re: Piggy sounds? My pigs whistle, as well. If it's the same as yours, they're extremely happy. When my boys whistle, it's after wheeking so loud and popcorning so much they can hardly contain themselves.

Re: Piggy sounds? It sounds to me like he was excited to smell another piggy. They are such social animals, it probably made his day.
