Guinea pigs not getting along? We are new to the guinea pig world and have really appreciated the info that we have found on this site. Our problem is we have 2 pigs both female the mother (Storm) and a baby (Princess Sparkles), both named by our 5 year old daughter

Re: Guinea pigs not getting along? Its normal for one pig to be a bit of a bully, its best to keep them together unless they are actually fighting and harming each other, generally if blood is drawn, then its time to separate. To help, be sure you have 2 of everything, 2 water bottles, 2 pellet bowls, 2 hideys, etc.

Re: Guinea pigs not getting along? I wouldn't separate them. Ditto the above. Are you sure the baby is a female though?

Re: Guinea pigs not getting along? Thanks makes me feel much better. No blood drawn just a few squeals once in awhile. We will make sure to get 2 of everything. Thanks again.

Re: Guinea pigs not getting along? Yes, the family said they had a vet sex all the babies, But we had our vet check it again just to make sure. Everyone has said she is a female.
