Question Getting Along?

I am thinking about getting a guinea pig either from a store or from a shelter. I have a bunny and a hamster currently and i was just wondering if they would fight. I know that my hamster and rabbit fight (the hamster always wins) but i was just wondering is guinea pigs fight.
I;ve seen guinea pigs and rabbits in the same pen together at pet stores.

Im not going to keep them in the same cage together just maybey they could play together? anywayz thanks and please reply!

Re: Getting Along?

You should only keep a Guinea Pig with another Guinea Pig. Not with a Rabbit or Hamster. The best thing would be for you to get 2 Guinea Pigs from a shelter. But it's important to consider if you have enough cage space for them as pet shop cages are completely inadequate.

Re: Getting Along?

Don't even mix different species at play time - it's cruel as they don't understand each other and as you've seen this leads to fear and aggression and unnecessary injury and stress to your pets.

Re: Getting Along?

Please do adopt rather than buying from a store. I agree with the above posts. Guinea pigs are social animals and you need to get two or more, and not just one

Re: Getting Along?

Agreeing with the above posts, rabbits can get bossy with guinea pigs.
