Summer Shedding

When I got my guinea pigs the lady informed me that Bettie would shed because it's hot. She said to just let it be but it's a lot. I know it's not bugs because she got her revolution shot. Is there any way I can stop the shedding.

I bought a baby brush and tried to brush her but it didn't really pick the hair up
