What do I call them?

I recently got three piggies from a friend of a friend. They are a mother and her two daughters. I don't know what to call them! I want really special names as they are my first piggies. They are mostly dark, the mother being black with a brown patch, one daughter black and white and the last one black witha few streaks of white. The last one is quite shy and the mother is bossy and brave. Well, I think she is very bossy and demanding compared to the other two and is obviously the dominant one.

Any ideas what to call them? They are smooth coated with erm...crests? and one has a rosette, at least according to the person i got them from.

Re: What do I call them?

I like to watch my creatures for awhile, just to get a good idea of their personalities. Then it seems that an appropriate name just comes out of my mouth. Sometimes it's because they remind me of a fond childhood memory or even a funny commercial on TV. When I give the process time, I'm alot happier with their designations. The rosette is a crest, yes. I think that if the piggy is one color all over, it's a self crested. Enjoy your babies.

Re: What do I call them?

Could you post pictures? That might help people suggest names.

Also, have you sexed the piggies yourself to be positive they are all females?? There are so many cases of missexed piggies that I just thought I"d mention it. Here is a link to help you if you need it: Guinea Lynx :: Sexing Guinea Pigs

Re: What do I call them?

I think that's one of those things that you just have to pull out of your heart. If you want it to be special, we can't really tell you names that would be special to you. I named 3 out of my 4 guineas after video game characters, but it was from a game that had tons of meaning and special memories for me. So maybe you should just start brainstorming on things you like or, like someone else said, watch them for a while and maybe something in their personalities will jump out at you.

Re: What do I call them?

It is hard to find names that are right for piggies. Please post us pictures if you can, and maybe we can come up with some suggestions, plus we get to see some pretty piggies.

Re: What do I call them?

I haven't sexed them myself but I'm sure they are all girls, as they did come with a brother but was seperated from him by the people who I got them off. The mother is definitely a girl as she had babies...and ate them. I'm glad she did, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to buy her as she would've been looking after them. The other two had been living together since they were born, and with the mother too, so they would have gotten pregnant if they were not all girls? Wouldn't they? They aren't babies, so they would've been easier to sex, right? Or am I wrong?
Erm, I don't know how to post pictures. If someone could tell me...

Re: What do I call them?

I just like to say I tried to sex them myself. With the help of a friend more experienced. Not that she was much good either!
I'm pretty sure they are all girls now.
