Re: New girl coming home...preggers?

I have had Bella for 5 days now. In those 5 days she has gained 2 oz, I am getting to be more confidant that she is pregnant. Time to start preparing. I still don't feel much if any movement, nothing like a kick anyways. I have been giving her alfalfa hay along with bluegrass, I noticed today white on the fleece. I know she needs calcium while she is pregnant should I cut back to every other day?

I don't know about the calcium question...but I just want to wish you good luck! I'm so impressed that you're taking on this responsibility. Please keep us updated. Do you know how long until it's baby time? Also, do you plan to keep them or adopt them out? I'd be happy to lend my help in a piggy train if needed, but I have no idea where you are.

Re: New girl coming home...preggers?

And then there were kicks.....I was just holding Bella and there was a lot of movement, more on the left side than the right but it was there. I guess I am looking at 2-4 weeks then. The female she was with gave birth 1 1/2 weeks ago. She still doesn't look too pear shaped to me, the picture I posted she was moving and shows a bulge on one side. If you look at her though it really isn't there. But, I have a very large abby also and by comparison Bella is just tiny to me. In almost 1 1/2 weeks I can introduce her to the girls but I might keep her by herself at this point, I don't want to cause her any more stress before she has the babies. Also, a smaller cage will be easier to baby proof for now. I am going to buy another box of grids and put her larger cage on top of my existing one (when it is time).
