My one piggie makes this funny face...he pulls his lips back over his teeth and then smacks his lips together, and sometimes he puts his paw up to his mouth like he wants to pick his teeth! The first time I saw him do it, he was a baby and he's 3 years old now and he still does it-sometimes when he's eating and even when he's not. He doesn't do it constantly, not even everyday. It's cute and funny, but it also concerns me. Could something be wrong in there? I've had the Vet check him for dental problems many, many, many times and he never finds anything, but should I insist on an x-ray incase it's a problem that can't be seen? (His appetite is great!) Does anybody else's piggie make any weird expressions? Maybe it's 'a behavior'...I don't know! And I'd like to look in his mouth when he's doing it to see if I can see anything, but does anybody have any tips on how in the world you get a little piggie's mouth open?!

Re: Funny Face I can't believe not one person has answered me...it's been almost a week. I really depend on this board cause I was really concerned...guess I shouldn't.

Re: Funny Face Erm, I don't know either. I understand you are concerned, but sometimes people just miss threads or don't have an answer. I don't think you should ever depend upon a board to the degree that you get snippy when you don't get responses.

Re: Funny Face If people dont know the answer they probably wont post - I mean what is the point? If you get hurt because people dont reply to a post they probably dont know the answer for with the limited information given then you need to grow a thicker skin. If you are worried take him to the vet.

Re: Funny Face piggly wiggly & rabbitsncavyluv;Pellets, timothy hay, and the only veggies and fruits he will eat...romaine, radicchio, red & green leaf lettuce, cucumbers, carrots and a little bit of cantaloupe and honey dew melon. I haven't seen a 'face' for 4 days now, so I guess it's not a problem or I'd see it all the time! Suppose I should just laugh at it as a 'quirk'! Also, please bear with me while I explain myself...I guess I was just upset and embarrassed cause a co-worker of mine is a new piggie owner and I gave her this site address telling her how quick any questions she had would be answered and I told her to register and watch my post. Sorry.
