Who here has the oldest piggie?

Just wondering which members of the forum have old piggies ... and who has the oldest one. Could you post photos of your Senior Citizen piggies? It would be neat to see a baby photo (or what he/she looked like when you first got him/her) and then a Senior Citizen photo if you have them.

I don't have any either actually. But I do like the idea! It's like watching a kid grow up

Re: Who here has the oldest piggie?

I am unsure as to her exact age because I adopted Juliet and her mate, Romeo, from a veterinarian where they had been abandoned. They were both fully grown and were being used as a breeding pair to make snake food before they were abandoned. I'm guessing that they were at least two years old and I've had Juliet for about five years now, so she's most likely around seven or eight years old! She's a stubborn little piggy and after Romeo died, she refused to accept another cagemate, so she lives alone, but she seems to like it that way.

Re: Who here has the oldest piggie?

I had Whiskie for 7 years...but we don't know how old she was when we got her. She wasn't real small though. I'm pretty sure she was full grown based on pics from the day we got her-I was too young to remember. So she was at least 7 years old when she died.

Re: Who here has the oldest piggie?

Me! I have the oldest pig. She's 500 year old. Ok, not really. I'm just loopy from spending too much time on take-home exams, but I think she's old. Her real age is not known, but she's not as spry as my two year-olds.

Well, Coco is not 7 or 8 yet. He will be 4 1/2 in June. But I am hoping he will live a very long time.

Re: Who here has the oldest piggie?

My first ever piggie died at the age of 5years, although now I think about it I think she was having heart problems so I wish I had done something about it.

My current eldest pig was 6years in January. I don't have an old picture of him but this the most recent. His name is Elvis:

I fear though he won't be with us much longer. He's certainly not slowing down and hasn't lost any weight but he does have a stone. Surgery is not my option right now, just managing his pain! Hopefully he won't require surgery, but I will if it affects his quality of life.

Re: Who here has the oldest piggie?

My girl is 8yrs old. We got her around October 2000. She did come from a pet shop but this was before we realised about piggies in rescues.

She's the queen bee and is so confident and affectionate - I love her to bits.

Re: Who here has the oldest piggie?

I have a rescue pig, Vanilla, I took in that is somewhere between 4-5 years old, exact age unknown. I don't have any pics of her though. I need to take new pics of the piggers.
