That's really funny. I can actually see a pig giving that kind of expression. |

Re: Have you ever seen your piggie's eyes closed? Cloudy sleeps a lot with her eyes mostly closed. She's my dominant pig, and the one who's the most used to the activity in our house. She also lies down with her head on her paws like a little dog. It's very cute. Roxie's my nervous one, so it's rare to see her eyes closed, and Bunny sometimes has her eyes shut and on a couple of occasions I've see her sleeping with one eye open and the other half closed.

Re: Have you ever seen your piggie's eyes closed? Once J.R. is in my arms or lap, he's very content and will snooze off a little.. eyes closed. Giorgi sleeps "belly flop" style, but I can never get close enough to see how much peeper is showing... he always hops right up and meets me at the corner of the cage..

Re: Have you ever seen your piggie's eyes closed? When my Rusty was still a baby (around six months) he would sleep on my chest when i wore my giant winter robe. Sometimes he would stay like that for an hour. He was very content.

Re: Have you ever seen your piggie's eyes closed? Metroid started sleeping with his eyes closed after we got Boo. I guess he is more relaxed and happy now that he has a friend

Re: Have you ever seen your piggie's eyes closed? Paulie sleeps with his eyes closed quite frequently. I snapped a few pictures of it when I first saw it, thinking I wouldn't see it again. Now I see it often as he has his head on a piggie-made mound inside his hidey. He's a lazy but content pig. A few times I have sat down next to his cage and whispered his name, and he's lifted his head slightly and stared me down as if to say, "what's a pig got to do to get some sleep around here?"

Re: Have you ever seen your piggie's eyes closed? I'm waiting for the day to watch Porkchop and Kobe sleep. They always awake when I'm wake up for work.

Re: Have you ever seen your piggie's eyes closed? I have 2 that sleep with their eyes shut. The third one just gets this glazed look in her eyes. Hopefully she'll get comfortable with us eventually to close them. Sometimes it's kinda eerie seeing her like that. I always make sure she is still breathing. ![]()

Re: Have you ever seen your piggie's eyes closed? I've noticed mine with their eyes closed quite a bit lately. They like to go over to their cuddle cups and rest their heads on them like a pillow. Then they flop onto their sides and close their eyes. My dominant boy almost always has his eyes closed when I see him. He's pretty fearless. My submissive boy...it's harder to catch him like that. He's scared of his own shadow. But I did see him yesterday lying flat on his stomach, all stretched out, with his eyes closed. I can always tell when they're really content and ready for a nap because their ears start to twitch up and down.

Re: Have you ever seen your piggie's eyes closed? My Patches and Precious both sleep with their eyes closed. They look so cute and peaceful when they do. Patches does it more often than Precious. From day one Patches was more comfortable with us than Precious was. I've yet to have either one fall asleep on us with their eyes closed.

Re: Have you ever seen your piggie's eyes closed? I've never seen Spike alseep before. I have seen him close his eyes when I put new hay in his tray, but that is probably because all the little pieces fall out of my hand and he loves running in the falling hay. Spike sleeps in his Pig-aloo and can be a very heavy sleeper sometimes. I've come in some afternoons and gotten changed out of my work cloths, and only when I'm done and about to leave does he make an appearance. There are also other times where I go to tell him g'night and don't hear a noise, but most of the time he's out there eating hay when-ever I come over to see him.

Re: Have you ever seen your piggie's eyes closed? More recently my piggy Gimli has been sleeping with his eyes closed, sometimes he lays partly on his side too and he looks like a kidney bean! The funniest position I've seen him in though is with his head kind of ploughed forward and his butt sticking up in the air. It'd be worth it for me to get a digital camera just to take pictures of him.

Re: Have you ever seen your piggie's eyes closed? My pigs mostly sleep with their eyes closed all the way, but they also sometimes sleep with them open. My boar is very comfortable and will just sleep out in the open of his cage.

Re: Have you ever seen your piggie's eyes closed? I posted here in April, but now all three of mine sleep with their eyes closed. They also lay on their sides out in the open, which makes me feel really good that they're so comfortable. Sometimes I see Thor or Norbie with one eye shut & the other ½ open LOL. Makes me wonder if the saying came from guinea pigs.

Re: Have you ever seen your piggie's eyes closed? Yesterday, I was working on the cage. And Mick layed down and closed his eyes. I was in shock because I was right there. Then Blixa layed down right next to me it was cool cause they were like ok well lets go to sleep now.
