Re: How do you pay attention to your pigs?

I like to scoop up one of my babies and sit with them on my lap.. Except for Turnip. She likes to cuddle up against my neck. I think she thinks I can't see her there. Parsnip and Ms. Ella seem to enjoy Three's Company a lot.

Other than that, I like to talk to them and sit in their cage sometimes after the big cage cleaning. During veggie time is a great time, too. That way they'd have to come out and get veggies from you instead of doing a snatch and grab from a pile. They also listen to CD's and the radio and have gotten better about different sounds.

I found that getting rid of the loft I had helped a lot with shyness, too. They still have hidies, but I found that the loft was giving Turnip some troll-under-the-bridge issues. She's gotten more sociable since I took it down.

Believe it or not, mine love it when I sit by their cage and play games on my laptop (with the sound turned on)! The gentle games with music and horn sounds...and there's one with popping balloons that they especially love! Everytime a balloon pops, I get a 'popcorn'!
