Re: question about quaranteen

Two to three weeks is the recommended time for piggy quarantine.

Congrats on getting a new friend for your son's pig!

Re: question about quaranteen

At least two to three weeks. Guinea Pigs can be good at hiding illnesses I have heard. Also, make sure the new pig sees a vet before they meet, just to be sure. I would also monitor for a bit during the introduction of the two, just to see if they get along.

Re: question about quaranteen

Ya, I plan on doing the introduction during floor time so that Shelby doesn't feel like the new girl is taking over or anything . They can hear each other and keep trying to find each other. I figured the quaranteen had to be at least a week to 10 days, but as this is my first time doing this, I figured I'd better check first. Thank you both so much!
