Guinea Pig Breeds? Hi everyone! I was wondering how you tell what kind of guinea pig you have? I've heard the breeds like abbys and short hairs but I'm not sure what catagory my 2 pigs would fall into. They are twins and their hair sticks up everywhere! I got them from a local little pet store(bad idea i realize that now). Luckily they aren't sick or pregnant(both girls). So if you could tell me what kind they are that would be great! Also if anyone has any pigs that need adopted near Altoona, Pa please e-mail me. Must be girl or neutered male. Thanks again for any replies!

Re: Guinea Pig Breeds? If the hair is sticking up everywhere they are probably abbys. We would need pictures to help determine the breed for sure.

Re: Guinea Pig Breeds? Sounds like abbys to me as well. My Rosie is an abby.

Re: Guinea Pig Breeds? If the hair is very short it could also be a Teddy. But , yea, pics would help.
