I am finally going to get to bring my two piggie boys home tomorrow. I am very excited to see them for the first time and hold them. I also made all the finishing touches to the cage today. Cant wait to see them!! YAY!!! Will be sure to post pictures of them in their new home once they are settled in and we get a chance to take some.

Re: Finally bringing my boys home tomorrow!! They are home now, trying to settle into their cage I built for them. I have a dog that is overcurious about them but I think he'll be ok in time. Ralphy just ignores him and goes on doing what he was doing at the time the dog comes up to the cage. Midnight is a tad more skittish about the dog but follows the lead of Ralphy and if Ralphy ignores the dog then he does to. I think things will settle down nicely once we get proper introductions done bewteen dog and pigs.

Re: Finally bringing my boys home tomorrow!! What kind of dog? I have a dog as well but the guineas are in my room so he doesn't even see them. He probably wouldn't even take a second look anyways. He's a really chill chocolate lab and about 11 years old.

Re: Finally bringing my boys home tomorrow!! Our dog is a stafforshire bull terrier, an english breed. He is very excited about new house mates and I think the whole jumping up next to the cage thing is so he can see the piggies but we have never allowed him to jump up before and I'm not going to start. My husband said he was holding both Midnight and Ralphy while I was at work today and our dog Dakota was just fine with them, all he did was lick them and when he would put his paws up he would tell him no and put them back on the floor so he couldn't hurt them. I think he is coming around and will settle down eventually.

Re: Finally bringing my boys home tomorrow!! Sounds like both the piggies and the dog is settling in with each other. That is great news to hear.
