Gorgeous Guineas Products Toffee has thin hair on the back of her neck. I have treated her for mites and fungal several times since I first noticed it in Oct. 07. Since then there has been no change. I have been told to give either the Melts or the lavender shampoo from Gorgeous Guineas a go. I am just not sure which one. This is the link to the site Gorgeous Guineas - Products . And here is a picture of her neck ![]() She is a rex/teddy and this breed tend to be prone to these problems.

Re: Gorgeous Guineas Products Also, it has been suggested to me that I get in contact with Chrissie from Gorgeous Guineas and ask her which product to purchase - but I cant find her email on the site. Does anyone know it?

Re: Gorgeous Guineas Products Why not use the general email option and see where you go from there. All staff should be able to advise. I've heard their products are good anyway and just looking at the site there's another one for skin problems too - Microneem.

Re: Gorgeous Guineas Products I cant find any email though - this is their contact page Gorgeous Guineas - How To Contact Us . It says that the quickest way to get in touch with them is through email, but doesnt actually give it.I did see the microneem, but to be honest, I dont think it would really help her as it is used to sooth fungal/parasitic problems which she doesnt have.

Re: Gorgeous Guineas Products Is your piggy a rex? My rex has had dodgy skin that ivermectin didn't touch. Chrissie recommended the coconeem melt and the manuka and neem shampoo and now her skin isn't flaky, itchy or irritated in any way.

Re: Gorgeous Guineas Products Yup, she is a rex. Beautiful girl, cream and white. Such a lovely personality as well. Her skin looks pink/red (so mildly irritated) but not flaky. Plus the hairloss, the photo outlines one section but overall it is alot thinner on the back of her neck then any other part of her body. I am a bit confused, she hasnt responded to either ivermectin/revolution or maleseb, and doesnt appear to have a fungal infection (no crusty bits).

Re: Gorgeous Guineas Products Looking back I am thinking the microneem is the way to go as it soothes the skin. If I used this would the hair then grow back? A coconeem melt is probably a good idea as well.I cant shoot the email off tonight, I will do that tomorrow, and hopefully will do some shopping as well!

Re: Gorgeous Guineas Products I got in contact with Chrissie and she sent out some Microneem and Manuka and Neem shampoo. She believes this should do the trick. I am very impressed with everything so far - the order arrived very quickly, was packaged nicely (except for the fact that customs thought that there was something illegal in the package and opened it up!) etc. I did the test on Toffee this morning to see if she was allergic to the Microneem and when that came up negative I went ahead and bathed her. I am not sure if it is possible but I have ALREADY (!!) noticed a change. Her hair is really soft, and lush and her skin doesnt look as bad. The treatment plan stands that we bath her in Microneem on days 1 (today), day 3 and day 7 and then wash it off on day 7 with the Manuka and Neem shampoo.

Re: Gorgeous Guineas Products My Teddy has these problems as well. I ordered the Manuka and Neem shampoo and the Souper Souffle Cream. I give him a good bath per instructions of Chrissy, then if his skin starts bothering him again before time for another bath, I just apply the cream to the affected area. It works great. I just used the email option and she was the one who returned all of my questions and offered suggestions of what to use. I would definately recommend her. Also, they do offer sample sizes if you just wanted to try it out. Last edited by Ziggy&Herald : 04-17-08 at 09:45 am.
