We are adopting two more piggies

We love our little Harmony and Melody so much. Now that they have a much bigger cage/play area....well, it looked kinda lonely . Two beautiful girls came into rescue, with the small animal rescue I'm a supporter. Of course, someone suckered me right in. We don't mind though. I knew it was just a matter of time. hee hee

Anyway, I thought I'd use this opportunity to post pics of our current girls, their cage and our new girls too. We hope to have Hope and Joy here with us, within the next couple of weeks (they are currently in Vancouver, BC).

Really adorable pigs- I love the DEW. I've always wanted one but you typically see the pink-eyeds more frequently.

I love the little door you cut in the grid. I've never seen that before. So cool- how'd you cut it?

I'm still relatively new to piggies....what is a DEW?

My husband cut the door in the grid using side cutters/wire cutters (he had to use a hack saw on the outter edge). There were sharp ends when he was done, even though he did some sanding too. So he took a long stip of fleece and wrapped it tight all the way around the opening.

DEW= Dark eyed white. PEW=Pink eyed white (what I see more often).

I'm going to have to give that door in the grid thing a try!

Well, the Piggie Train leaves at 8am tomorrow morning. Four wonderful souls will be transporting Hope and Joy from Vancouver, BC to our home in Portland, Oregon. They should arrive around 5pm.

We can't wait to meet our new girls!
