Breanna & Saffron

The room has been so quiet and empty in the few days since Charlie passed. We need some laughter and youthful bounding to cheer everybody up. So...

Meet the two latest HGs.

Breanna-Charleyrose
Usually known as Bree / Breanna.
Charleyrose is a tribute to Sir Charlie, as I'm sure you will have guessed.
Bree is very quiet and mellow.

Saffron-Willowrose
Known as Saffy / Saffron.
Willowrose came about because we loved Willow, and rose just rolled off the tongue.
Her name is particularly fitting as we are moving to 'Saffron Walden' in a few weeks!
She is very outgoing and cheeky. Already she stands at the bars and sticks her nose through when you walk by.

They're both so tiny, smallest pigs I've ever had. Est 9-12 weeks by the adoption centre, but there is no way they are more than 4-5 weeks. Bree weighs 260g, Saffy weighs 280g. They came home on April 1.

They were listed as "unwanted in their previous home", and were at the adoption centre in Pets at Home. Mum got them without asking me, she just said "I've done something you might not like".
I had mixed feelings at first - Charlie had been gone for just 3 days, it seemed like a betrayal, moving on too soon etc. - but I quickly figured it's what he would want. Charlie wants the cage to be full and happy, and for us to keep on helping piggies who need loving homes.

I had also just decided to mope, so I'm quite sure Sir Charlie's spirit influenced Mum's decision in some way. I guess being in touch with my spiritual side is helping me realise that just because Charlie's body is gone, it doesn't mean he is gone. Hence why I feel ok about adopting these two girls so soon.

Next is to figure out birthdays for them!

They are so very pretty. I'm sure your Sir Charlie would be very happy you are going to be taking great care of the two babies that needed you.

Re: Breanna & Saffron

Hey, I know how you feel. My piggie, Abner died on March 5th. It was so hard to get used to. I'd walk into the kitchen and there would be no piggie to talk to About a week and a half later I found two piggies on a rescue site and I knew my parents would never let me get two piggies but I thought it was worth a try. They said yes! I was really surprised. The day before we were going to get the new piggies, I almost said I didn't want to go get them. It was too soon, Abner had only been gone for 2 weeks. I didn't want to "replace" him I guess you could say. But I went thru on it and I'm so glad I did. I have two new boys, Emmit and Elmo. They have a lot to live up to. I still miss my other piggie, in fact I'm starting to cry as I'm writing this. Just know that your giving your love to some new piggies that most likely, wouldn't not have gotten if someone else had gotten them. Charlie would not have wanted you to "waste" that love God Bless and trust me, it will get a little better!
