Verify Breed of Piggy Hi there, I need some help from you to verify the breed of this pig. It is up for adoption from its owner and she mentioned it's a smooth coat. I would like to know if the piggy is a short haired smooth coat? Definitely it's not American short haired smooth coat as she was locally bred in Singapore. Does she resemble an American short haired? I have seen some with sharp nose/mouth area and made the pigs look like rat. Does this female piggy look like she has sharp nose/mouth? ![]() Thanks for your advise.

Re: Verify Breed of Piggy A Dutch: Dutch is a two tone breed the darker colour...(which could be a black or brown) will always be displayed as the mask and hind colouring. The blaze and middle body colouring will always be white.

Re: Verify Breed of Piggy Dutch is a coloring and she doesn't look it. American is a standard breed. It means short hair.

Re: Verify Breed of Piggy Hi I'm not sure yet. The owner has not gotten back to me yet with her answers. Maybe she bought from a pet shop.

Re: Verify Breed of Piggy Does it matter to you what breed the pig is? I'm not sure why *you* care so much what breed the pig is unless you have showing or breeding concerns of your own. If, in fact, the original owner is a breeder or obtained this animal from a pet store and bred it, then I'd look else where for a pig to adopt. In fact, this whole situation seems very shady and fishy, so I"d probably be looking else where anyways.
