It's time to introduce!

I have 2 boars that I got 3 weeks ago and I feel it was time to introduce. One gp is 1.5 years old and the other is a little over 2 months old. I put them together today and all that happened was a bunch of pee from the older guinea pig (Charlie), alot of rumblestrutting, some "talking", and then Charlie would put his whole body over the younger one (PinnyPig) but didn't mount or hump. PinnyPig would sometimes run underneath Charlie when he got scared. I introduced them in a neutral area, my living room floor and I have to go to Walmart tomorrow to pick up more cubes for the cage, which I decided to make it 4x3 instead of the 4x4 I was planning. This way if they don't get along, then I will have 2 of the 2x3's side by side. Now I have read alot about introducing two males, but when I put them together, I forget all the "normal" stuff and overreact and got a towel ready to cover them up. Does anyone have any suggestions or give me behavioural advice on what they are doing? also, what it means when they are doing it. And how long and how often do I put them together in a neutral territory before I put them into a brand new CC cage?

Read www.cavyspirit.com/sociallife.htm. Leave them together in a neutral area for an hour or so then put them into the newly cleaned cage together if they are getting along ok. You would know within that hour if they weren't going to get along. Don't put them together and take them apart, it causes a lot of stress. The introductions need to be done one time, not over days.

Well I'm in the middle of the introduction and right now Charlie, the older one is chasing Pinnypig while Pinnypig does Popcorns in the air, I'm thinking this is a good thing, no fights have broken out yet, I'm finally done the cage and I made it 2x4 for them. Thanks guys.
