| Many questions Okay so I just found out Sunseed is a bad brand, and that most of you buy Kleenmama, or something like that, for your pigs. I am unable to buy from her because my dad probably wouldn't let me. What is a good pellet brand that I can get at the store? A good hay brand? Please be aware that I don't buy pet supplies at pet stores, I buy them at a place that sells just pet supplies. Also does anyone know if there is a cavy-savvy vet near Madison, WI? Or a website where I can locate a cavy-savvy vet? None of the vets in my town are cavy-savvy...(please note I don't live in Madison, just near Madison.) And my piggie has been sneezing, is this bad? He sneezed about 4 times during dinner, and my dad was worried... |

| Re: Many questions How about Oxbow? That is also a good brand, and it is what I feed my pigs. Check if they have that at the feed store, or use the store locater on their website, Oxbow Pet Products | Welcome to find a store near you. I don't really know about vets in your area, but what I would do (and this is how I found my vet, she is great) is find a rescue in your area and just call and ask for a recommendation. Some of them even post recommended or approved vets on their websites (my local rescue does). Look on Petfinder.com: Adopt a pet and help an animal shelter rescue a puppy or kitten. to see rescues in your area. Hope that helps! |

| Re: Many questions Veterinarians - The GLX-Files Check this link out for a list of member recommended vets listed by area. The sneezing could just be from dust, etc - but if it continues or is accompanied by other symptoms, you will need to get your piggie to the vet right away. It could be a URI. Here's a link with symptoms: Guinea Lynx :: URI I'd get a scale and weigh your piggie and keep track at least once a day for a bit to make sure there is no continual weight loss. |
