Question about nail quicks My two newest pigs, Tsunami and Bonsai, were adopted (or rather rescued) from a lady who was not taking care of them. Their nails were really long, so the quick grew out a lot. Are the quicks going to be like that forever? I know that I can cut the nails (which is done) but the quick prevents me from cutting them shorter. It just looks awkward for them to walk around on such long nails. I really don't think they notice considering they popcorn and zoom around a lot. But, will the quick ever recede so I can get the nails shorter?

Re: Question about nail quicks Yes, the quick will recede. If you trim just a little bit frequently, the nails will become a proper length and the quick will recede to where the nail is. I love the names!

Re: Question about nail quicks Yes, they will definately recede! I read on Guinea Lynx (and like gpigluver14 said), if you clip a little bit maybe once a week the quick will recede and go back to normal!

Re: Question about nail quicks YAY! Then they can look like normal piggies again. Thanks gpigluver14. I like them too. Although when I first named them, I kept thinking the names sounded too masculine. I kept calling my girls "he". I don't think they liked that very much. But, now the names are 100% estrogen worthy!
