Re: Weekend trip

I have to admit that I have on occasion left my piggies for a day and a half...I always made sure they had extra water, pellets, and hay while I was gone. They have always been perfectly fine when I got home.

I'm going out of town starting tomorrow morning...My hubby is staying behind but I'm the primary caregiver of the piggies. I am planning on changing the fleece out tonight, filling the water, pellets, and hay...and making up some veggie bags...I'm sure he'll make sure they have veggies twice a day (I have a couple of loud ones...they will remind him if he forgets!!)....And I'll remind him every day to change the water, refill pellets, and refill the hay...I know he won't vacumn the poops...but at least I know he'll keep an eye on them...

Re: Weekend trip

I've left pigs alone for a weekend before. I just make sure the cage is super clean with 2 instead of 1 hay areas so it doesn't all get dirty...extra pellets, water and big pile of veggies and they are fine.
