hey,

ive now just got a baby guinea pig

im very busy, and work late, im always finding time to spend with good old scruffy

his adorable, or she


anyways im new to this hole thing, i clean his cage everyday, give it a new bedding, feed it like its really spoilt, by the hole family, but he wont come out of its box. u have to pull the poor thing out!, but he doesnt seem to mind me, hell sniff around wehn he know im at his cage, but im worried that he might get scared. coz i have a sausage dog, daschound, and there terriotoriatel (sorry guys i know i spelt that wrong) and ive heard they will well attack other animals. im worried for my guinea pig!. he is so preciious.

oh and also, i need advice for toys!

Welcome to the forum!

Here is a page on sexing guinea pigs - Guinea Lynx :: Sexing Guinea Pigs . If you are at all unsure take him to the vet. What cage do you have for him? Food? What bedding? etc etc hehe.

As for toys it really depends on the pig my pigs like newspaper tents, loose newspaper to play with and tunnel under, table tennis balls, little jingly balls for cats etc etc.

Please read all of the stickies at the top of each forum. You'll have a lot of questions answered, and learn a lot about the proper care of guinea pigs.

Also, search the forums for specific concerns you may have. There is a ton of info here.
