Re: Wicked's Update Thread

Alright, so I had to get up and go to the dentist at 8am (my poor mouth is STILL all numb!).. When I got home I decided to completely take everything out of my closet and move it to my grandfathers office closet. I piled my closet with everything no one ever uses..

So.. Now I don't have to get in my closet anymore (at least not frequently) I decided to build another cage add on, but bigger! The current cage (main) is a 3x5.. and the new cage add on is almost a 3x4! Well.. 42in x 50in.. Yay for tarps! I am thinking about going back and getting another one. Only $4 at walmart!

Pictures...!

Entire Cage.. Top (main), Ramp, 'Dungeon' Cage (new)..

New Area..

Daphne finding her way into the area under the ramp (hidey?)..

Great Place for the piggers to eat while I clean up their regular cage..

It looks great! I wish I could make a ramp like that, but bending grids, and me, don't go together.

I like this site

Behind the Name - the Etymology and History of First Names

for names. It also has Mythology names and their meanings.

Re: Wicked's Update Thread

Ohh, awesome! Thanks!

I totally forgot about the name Azkadelia. I LOVE that name. Yeah, I am weird. I was thinking about using if for a possible child's name whenever I have kids. That and Bella. My grandmother would probably murder me before she let me name her great-grandchild that.

Names from there that I like (the list):

Branwyn, Calypso, Juno and Luna.

Branwyn is a really great name but too close to Winnie (my deceased hamsters name).. I am not sure about Calypso.. Doesn't seem to fit. I really do like Juno and Luna. Luna has become really popular though (HP craze) and Juno is that new film that everyone will probably compare her name to.

I am too picky for my own good.

Re: Wicked's Update Thread

Sometimes you just have to wait until you actually have the pigger in your hands to find a suitable name for it. I was sure that Dodger would be Dodger just from the pics, much like it seems Divinci will be for the boy. It just seems to fit. But the things I considered to the other one just didn't seem to fit so I didn't make any decisions and just waited until I had him. And when I tried to hold him he was literally wiggling all over the place and Mr. Wiggles came to mind and the first time I said it outloud, I knew he would be stuck with it.

Maybe you just need to hold her first for you to decide on what name she will have. I bet you are getting excited.

Re: Wicked's Update Thread

So very very excited. 3 days and 3 hours until we leave for Dallas!

I just found the most awesome name site thing:
Name Nerds! categories

It actually quizes you to find your style of name and then gives you a list of suitable ones!!

Crazy awesome.. but.. How about Divinci and Monet? or.. Divinci and Milan (Da vinci [the guy] lived in Milan) I kinda like it..

Other top scoring ones: Braelyn, Fawn, Genesis, Heaven, Iliana, India, Ireland, Kari, Lilia, Lore, Lyric, Maslyn, Meadow, Nollie, Persia, Serenity, Shenandoah, Story, Tahnee, Talia, Timberlyn, Treasure, Truly, Unique, Versailles, Wendolyn, and Willow.

OH! Epiphany! How about Divinci and Donet? Theme D's + a semi-theme between themselves! Heck, I am mispelling Da Vinci by one letter, I can do the same to Monet, right?

Re: Wicked's Update Thread

Yeah, I liked Treasure too (especially when I used if for my hammie's name) I forgot to edit that one out.. My hamsters name was Secret Treasure.. I'm not very comfortable with naming anything after anyone. If that makes sense. Feels like it is taking some of the uniqueness/specialness away..

Anyway, suggestions certainly appreciated. Sorry if I am scaring everyone off by being so hyper + picky.

Re: Wicked's Update Thread

Ok, Wicked. Here's what I've come up with for your girlie:

Diandra - from my own head - combo of Diane (Divine) and Deedra (wanderer) so I guess it means divine wanderer?

Dira - means friend

Drea - means courageous

Dyann - means divine

Dyllan - welsh god of the sea (dylan)

So there's my suggestions! Good luck picking one!

Re: Wicked's Update Thread

I know you don't really want another "Da" name but Daveanna (pronounced Da-venna), Or Dynius.

Non D names: Airwin, Farisil, Tulun.

Double names: Gypsy-feather, Harlin-drops, Gypsy-script, Knightsword, Bear-claw, Wolf-eyes, ocean-blaze, and...um...sugar-splat-snuffer-lufficus (haha)!

Re: Wicked's Update Thread

Thanks so much, everyone, for all the help. Ive been sitting on the names for a day or so now, and I still really really like Divinci and Donet.

Question for anyone that knows French or just has any idea about this.. Would Donet (like the painter) have an acccent above the o or e? I was horrid at French, but I was thinking it would.. Perhaps.. Dňnet? Or.. Dónet?

And.. another crazy update- I had a weird/horrid dream last night. It was in my house.. I had loads of people over, some holiday, I think. I had moved the piggers into my grandparents bedroom and went to check on them. Delilah was sick. Like, really really sick. I whipped up a huge thing of critical care and fed it to her, then I took her to the vet. The vet said something about too many fluids and hooked her up to this weird machine, almost like one of those crazy straws. It pumped white fluid out of her and she got smaller and smaller. The vet unhooked her, handed her back to me- The size of a rat! She was running all over the place. Fine, but TINY!

It was crazy!

On the plus side- 1 day, 4hrs until we leave for Dallas; 1 day, 23hrs until we get the piggers!

Re: Wicked's Update Thread

I don't know French, but looking up Monet on the internet, I don't see his name listed with an accent mark anywhere. *shrug*

Re: Wicked's Update Thread

Yeah, I noticed that too.. I was just hoping there was something I could do to keep people reading the name from thinking Donit. In actuality it will be pronounced Dohnay. Do (pronounced Doh) for short.

Re: Wicked's Update Thread

Only a little more than one day until you leave, Wicked!!

Can't wait for the BIG updates to start.

Which reminds me, guess I should do an intro/update of my piggies (I had two, and now I have four!). I've been waiting for the girls' first vet visit, which is tonight.

Anyway, have a great trip and send news ASAP!
