Exclamation Baby Guinea Pigs...all about my story!

So for anyone who has an accidental pregnant female, I have been through the same thing, and still have the babies, now all grown up today.

I took care of my friend's two guinea pigs, Buddy and Kali while they were away on holidays in florida.

Buddy was a boy, and Kali was a girl, need I say any more.

They had put them together (actually their daughter a year younger than I did) just to see what would happen and sure enough, Kali gave birth to two beautiful sows on March break, 2 years ago. Their names are Domino and Muffin.

I had to feed the mother extra food, get the babies used to being handled around humans, etc.

Now remember at this time, taking care of guinea pigs during this particular March break was the very first time I had EVER taken care of guinea pigs EVER EVER EVER!!

I worst part, well maybe not the worst, but most difficult part was when I had to wean the babies, because we were planning to keep the babies, and our friends have their 2 guinea pigs back. Kali and Buddy.

Our friends then got a dog, so we kept the mother along with the 2 babies and our friends gave away Buddy to another pet owner familiar with guinea pigs.

RULE OF THUMB!!
If you are planning to get a guinea pig, ADOPT! There are so many homeless guinea pigs that aren't loved out there and end up dying because they have to stay in a shelter their whole lives!!!

REMEMBER!! This is my opinion, AND I respect other people's opinions too.

Please feel free to comment on this whole topic!!!
