How long?

How much floor time should a pig have every day? My pig gets about 2-3 hours of time every day. I was wondering, is that enough? How much floor time do your guinea pigs get?

My 2 pigs have a 2x8 cage with a 1x2 loft....and they just got a new floortime setup (http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/...time-idea.html) and I plan on giving them about 2 hours a day in it. But it depends on how big your cage is for how much floortime they should get.

I think that sounds about adequate, maybe even a bit more since I know right now Coco is in a smaller cage.

What do you let him do or what does he do while he's having floortime? Does he have toys or hay and places to run around?

During floor time he has about 9 sq.ft. of room and he has lots of toys! He has his pigloo, and his tube and some dental chews. I try to encourage playing but it doesn't work. He also has his water bottle and the occasional baby carrot.
