Need Advice I have two pigs, one male one female (male is neutered) and they both live in a 2x5ft cage. We haven't changed their diet at all in the past year at least. We feed them fresh pellets from KM hayloft, and free feed them timothy hay, as well as a big pile of fresh veggies every night before bed. My wife and I took 4 days off and went away for Thanksgiving. We had someone look after them and feed them while we were gone. They didn't change the feeding schedule in any way while we were gone. When we got back I noticed diarrhea in the cage (poop was lumpy instead of pellets), and when we clean their cage it smells bad a lot quicker than normal. Should I separate the two and see which one it is? Is it contagious? Should I take both to the vet? I had Sweatpea into the vet only a couple months ago and everything was perfect with her. Thanks in advance.

Re: Need Advice Can you take them out in separate pens for floor time and see which one it is? It may be both though if they have been eating the same things and living together. I'd take them both to the vet. You sure the pet sitter didn't feed them anything out of the ordinary? Have they lost weight?

Re: Need Advice I'm sure she didn't feed them anything out of the ordinary because I portioned everything out before I left in baggies. I just put them both in the tub on a towel while I cleaned their cage and when I went to get them Sweatpea had diarrhea under her, and Henry didn't so I'm pretty sure it's just her. I've already made an appointment for the vet for tomorrow.
