The little piggy I was talking about adopting; well I got her last night and she turned out to be the not so little piggy I adopted. She is much bigger than my boy. She is just amazing. Very cuddly! She also licks me! I don't have a camera to take recent pigtures, but I do have a pigture of her that was on pet finder. My boy and her have gotten along so well. I put up a barrier in between them my them, just for "in case" reasons last night. And when I woke my boy wanted to see her so much he knocked down the barrier that was zipped tied on the bottom and had a connector on top. The barrier was taken apart at the top and I found both inside their igloo. Just sitting their nice and cozy! I am so excited that introductions went so well! Everyone is happy! ![]() SO the story behind my newest member. The lady who owned her before the rescue had her house taken from her and she surrender two dogs and cat a cockatiel and my new baby. The dogs have been adopted the cat hasn't and someone is coming to see the bird. My girl is healthy as a horse from what the vet said except her nails were so long that they curled into the pads of her feet her she is... ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Sharing my joy! Pigtures included! I'm glad to hear that they got along so well, but she should have been quarantined in a separate room for three weeks before introductions. You'll need to keep a close eye on both of them for any signs of illness, such as URIs, UTIs, mite infestation, etc. In other words, anything infectious or contagious. I know the vet said she is healthy, but sometimes illness is not evident until they have been sick for a while and symptoms start occuring. By the way, she absolutely beautiful...I can see why your boy fell in love with her right away!! Thank you for adopting her and giving her a good home.

Thank you Wheek Weak! I didn't think to keep them in separate rooms. I wouldn't want my boy sick!! She is just beautiful I can't stop playing with her. She is so calm and gives me kisses on the neck every time I hold and kisses my finger every time I put my hand close to her! ![]()

He actually wheeks and begs for us to pet him and love on him. I think they know when they're in a good home, with good food, good care, and people who actually love them (as opposed to the so-called home they were in). He loves to sit with my husband and stretch out with his back end on Tim's shoulder, and his front part on the pillow behind Tim. When I do his twice a day cage cleaning...he has to have his "love" time. That's when he nudges my hands while I'm cleaning to make me stop and pet him, play with him, and make him popcorn and flip upside-down!! As far as your little girl's name...she looks like like a Penny, Sissy, or Dolly. Just a few suggestions. She really is a doll baby! |

Re: Sharing my joy! Pigtures included! She is a doll and so sweet. I haven't decided on a name for her yet. When I find one I'll know. I am thinking about Uta though, it means (fortunate maid of battle), but I haven't decided. They are having floor time right now and are just so close those two. Neither of them has lived with another piggy so I am so happy that introductions went so well. She is a snuggly little bug! Maybe I should call her bug, .

Re: Sharing my joy! Pigtures included! Yeah, I am sorry I am not use to saying "don't worry my boy is neutered" because I know and all my friends know he is so it isn't common place for me to say so. I am still pondering special/unique names for my new lady! I can't stop watching them run around and having fun. I am overjoyed with how well they are doing together. Since she is a year old and never spent time with another pig until now. She does like her alone time though. She sits in her igloo and looks straight out and doesn't let him come in. Wonderful! ![]()
