What room of your house is your piggy friends' cage in? Just curious! Ours is in the living/dining room where we spend most of our time.

Re: What room of your house is your piggy friends' cage in? I live by myself in a mobile home. I have 5 dogs (4 of which are pugs), 2 guinea pigs and 2 box turtles. The guinea pigs' cage is in the living room where they can get lots of attention! I used to have them in the spare bedroom with the box turtles, but unlike the turtles, the cavies needed more attention (in my opinion), so I moved them. One of mine is so tame he HAS to be picked up nightly and loved on... He loves me! When I date, we go to HIS place. *LOL* Between the dogs and guinea pigs, it isn't very romantic at my place! -MJ

Re: What room of your house is your piggy friends' cage in? i keep mine in my study room. the room is always so messy thanx to them. there are wood shaving and hay all around the cage 8o my parents wouldn't let me move them anywhere else because of the mess, but its fine because i spend most of the day in this room anyway, and its also the quitest and brightest room.

Location I keep my 10 piggies in the livingroom/dining room combo, where all the action is. I live in an apartment though, and there isn't room for them anywhere else. I'm moving into a house soon though, and they'll be kept in a small room between the kitchen and my room that will be totally dedicated to the piggies. Hopefully it will be a little less stressful for them (though they don't appear to be stressed now.) -Dan III

Re: Location We have 2 living rooms, 1 for the adults mostly (better tv stuff) and another one for my son (video games and crappy tv). The piggers live in the room where my son hangs out most. It is the room right by the front door so they see lots of action. I also have my computer in there so I am in there alot too. And I agree, it can get messy when they start chasing each other around and kicking up shavings all over the place. We actually call that room the piggie room. I am considering building an outdoor cage on our enclosed porch for the summer but am still undecided.

Re: What room of your house is your piggy friends' cage in? Before I moved I had them downstairs where I had an open plan kitchen/living room. Now they have a room of their own (the dining room) as their wasn't really enough space in the living room, the dining room is HUGE so they are in there. You have to go through the dining room to get to the kitchen so not as much action as they used to get with me watching TV, but there is still traffic. I like Saturdays as that is when I give their cage a thorough clean, the cage is so big that their bedding takes up one full bin bag and it takes me ages to get it sorted. They run about the dining room while I clean the cage and whenever I open their cupboard they come shooting down and try and climb in it!
