Vet Appt. Help

Im taking Dudley to the vet for a first checkup on the 5th of October at 4pm. If he is healthy, and I have the money (getting next pay check in 5 days which will all go to his appt.) than I will also schedule him to be neutered the monday after that. If not, he will have to wait another month or so until I get my next pay check.

Im not sure exactly what to ask. I want to make sure I ask all the right questions so that there is no doubt he is healthy. I am kind of worried because he isn't even 2lbs. I don't know his age, so it might be because he is young. I want to see if he can give an approx age.

Any other things I should be sure to ask?

Re: Vet Appt. Help

Sorry, not vet/piggie photo shoot. I forgot my camera

Hes healthy. No Uri or mites, which was my biggest worries. He does need a little extra vit. C so I bought some kale and orange. He is approx. 6 months old according to the vet, Im setting his birthday at March 17th which is also my grandfathers bday and st. patricks day.

Re: Vet Appt. Help

17th of March is also my Great Nannas, my 2 younger cousins and a family friends birthday!

Glad to hear it went well. Orange isn't as high in vitamin c as many think, if you look at this chart Guinea Lynx :: Vitamin C Chart you are far better off with parsley, kale, red capsicum or mustard spinach. You also have to then look at this chart http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/...arts-info.html to work out how frequently you can feed these foods.

Re: Vet Appt. Help

Kale, spinach, and parsley are all high in calcium, and kale has a lot of Vitamin A as well so I don't think they'd be the best veggies to feed a lot. Bell peppers are one of the best additions to daily veggies that are high in Vitamin C. Glad to hear your boy is healthy!

Re: Vet Appt. Help

Thank you both =)

Im actually hesitant about feeding the orange at all, I might just stick with my peppers, parsley and kale. Dudley doesn't seem to like the kale though. Silly boy.
