Cavy Dreams

Last night I had a dream that I was at an amusement park that had a huge waterslide, and beneath it there was a small wading pool. I looked closer, and saw that there was a small floating cage with two guinea pigs in it, that were kept for decoration beneath the slide. I was enraged and had to climb a fence and swim to them to rescue them! Then I ran to the nearest neighbors house crying and looking for food to feed them. It was pretty upsetting!

I was wonder if anyone else would like to share some dreams they've had about cavies? I know I've seen threads about this before, but I thought I'd start a new one for fun. I'm on a migraine preventative that causes me to have vivid dreams every night, and I have dreams about cavies quite frequently!

Re: Cavy Dreams

I've had two bad dreams about my pigs, One was that R2D2 walked off the balcony and died. The other was about Leia dieing because she ate a power cable. I was really upset about both of the dreams! I guess it's part of being so obsessed with pigs! You just start worrying about everything that could go wrong, I think it's natural.

Re: Cavy Dreams

I have dreams about animals in cages in the basement that I have forgotten about. So, when I remember, the animals have escaped, even the fish. Since we don't have a basement (or fish) it must mean something else.

Re: Cavy Dreams

Hmm, I had a few dreams right after my first guinea pig passed away. One of the dreams was that I was in the kitchen and she was running around, and another time I dreamed that I saw her outside and I was like "I thought you died".

I don't remember my dreams very long once I wake up but I do remember once Madison and Michigan climbing a ladder outside my parents house. Way out there. My dreams are usually really weird and don't make sense!

Re: Cavy Dreams

I had the most strangest dream the other night, actually I think it was more like a nightmare. In my house there were GP everywhere. Everytime I would walk I would have to pick up 2or3 pigs that were walking on the floor. I would put them back in their cages but they would keep getting out. Some how a male got in with my girls and the next morning there were at least 20 babies in the cage. I could not tell which babies belong to which piggy. All the moms were taking care of each others babies. Even the spayed females were nursing babies. Than to make things even more strange, the next morning the spayed femals had babies. When I woke up from my dream, my dogs were looking at me with a strange look and all the piggies were completely silent and started running for their hidey houses. Is that just the most bizarre dream ever?? I wonder if I was a breeder in my dream....god I hope not!!

Re: Cavy Dreams

I have a dream over and over. I keep dreaming my cats get outside and I can't get them back inside before predators get them. It always freaks me out and I don't like having it. I wake up afraid and always make sure my cats are ok.

Re: Cavy Dreams

I don't remember many of my dreams, but I do remember one where I was a lettuce...and well with 5 guinea pigs you can imagine what they would do to a lettuce :P

It was quite bizarre actually...I do have dreams where I build a house with an entire wing for my pigs.

Re: Cavy Dreams

I have had many piggy dreams. Here's just one:
The other night I dreamt that a man came round to our house with a mum and baby pig in an awful cramped cage. He said that he noticed I had guinea pigs and would I like any more? I said I would and asked if this "cage" was their permenant cage. He said yes. I told him to leave. For some reason my pigs were free range and came running over. I put the new pigs on the floor and they all bonded immediatly.
They weren't quarentined though

I don't think dreaming you're a breeder means you want to be a breeder. It could be just random, if you're like me you spend a lot of time trying to explain things to breeders and therefore repeatedly "putting yourself in their shoes" to try to explain it better.

Last night I had a really weird one about a person who wanted to get a pig for his daughter. We were in something which appeared to be a library (loads of computers) and he was going on about how she was going to take care of it and which pet shop he was getting it from. I knew I couldn't explain it myself - I needed a GL care brochure and fast! But all the computers were occupied and I was running around desperately trying to find one before he left for the pet shop.

What a horrible dream! I guess it must be because I'm spending time talking to breeders and often it can be hard to explain so I just refer them straight to Cavyspirit.com.
