?? do cavy's get hairballs ??

i have a slight problem,
i had caught my abyssian chewing on my silike's hair and its been kinda hurting the silkie near the hind quarters. never seen it happen before, i've heard of it happening but i've never seen it happen for myself. so now i'm worried will all of that hiar she might have digested (the abyssian), will she suffer from hairballs the way rabbits do?? and is there somethig that i can put on my silkies hair to discourage the hair choping ??

wow. I just read something on this. In fact, all the hair comes out in the poop. Does the one being groomed not like this? You might want to seperate them if it's really bad.

It's called barbering. I have a shetlie who does this to herself and another of my pigs. It doesn't seem to cause either any problems apart from looking a bit messy sometimes

thanks,
i was kinda worried. at first i thought it was a parasite infestation and was making her bald, <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/embarassed.gif ALT=""> . but i caught the daughter giving her mom a good tug at her mom's hind leg. at first i though she was trying to nurse  , but then i saw some hair at the corner of her mouth. she dosen't do it as much now, but when she does do it the mother squeaks alittle and reclines the other way so her daughter can't do it again. thanks again.
