| How do i go about the first few days with the new pig? should i try to pet her everything, or just completely ignore for awhile, do i want to give her time outside of the cage yet? I know she is very jumpy because whenever i jsut stand up she runs around frantically, poor lil thing. So, how should i try to get to know her for the next while without really scaring her? ty so much! |

| Re: How do i go about the first few days with the new pig? My friend has a piggie that has been super skiddish since the day she brought her home. To this day, she still won't let my friend hold her for more than 3 minutes. Strangely enough, she'll let me hold her and pet her for hours. While she spends all of her time nipping at my friend, she spends her time with me perching on my shoulder or under my chin. I tend to hold my piggies high on my chest, kinda as if they could feel my heartbeat. I find that the more securely they are held, the less skiddish they are. Marlania www.hopeforanimals.com |
