    chewing wood

does anyone have a list of wood that are ok and NOT ok for chewing? I know about the fruit trees and how to go for apple and stay away from pitted fruit trees, but i dont have any fruit trees in my backyard, nor do i know anyone who does. are there any other woods that are ok?

i thought of buying some chews from the ferret store, and which would be better? the 10" apple shooters, or the 5" apple branch sticks?

Well ovbiously no cedar or pine sticks/chunks of wood, and stay away from colored or dyed wood chews in the pet stores. I would just go with apple sticks. You really don't need wood chews if your pigs eat and have enough hay provided because the hay will keep the teeth length down. I give my piggs an apple stcik once in a while. But usually I just give them hay.

I would say 5in because you don't want them to be too long they could poke their eye or something like that.
