how do I find out what breed my piggies are? I am just curious. I just got them and never really knew there were guinea pig breeds.       |

If you give us some pigtures we can tell you what kinds they are. Americans- have short hair, no little swirls Silkies- long hair with no part down the middle Peruvians- long hair with a part Abbsynians- swirly stick uppity hair Texels- long curly hair Skinnies- no hair except for a little on the face Crested-little swirl right on the forehead, no other swirls I hope this kind of helps.  |

I don't know how to add a photo to my post??? I tried manage attachments but it kept saying the pic was too big eventually the pic was as bis as my icon by my screen name, but thats what what they look like. Last edited by Trickey280; 10-10-06 at 08:12 pm. Reason: had to resize pic |

The white one on the right looks like an abby to me and the brown one on the left I can't see if it has any swirls or not but if he doesn't then I would say he's an american, if he has a swirl on his head and no where else he's a crested. ( I think I got that right guys-it's been a while since that info was all memo'd in my head  , for those of you that don't know I finally have GP's again after at least 15 years without any) That's why I said it's been awhile.About those pigtures, I found it's easier to use a photo bucket account them past the IMG link from there to your post here.
