Should cavy cuisine (as opposed to cavy performance) be given from 6 months or 1 year old? |

6 months. Their growing begins slowing at this time, and they really don't need all of the extra calcium. If you have a pregnant or nursing sow, they can have the Cavy Performance at any age because the calcium and other nutrients are once again needed. |

There may be some that will argue to switch at a year which is also ok but usually by the time a pig is 8-9 months of age they are fully grown and don't need it anymore. We normally tell people here on this forum to switch at 6 months. |

Thanks guys. Was just worried as I had bought it online to start switching over in about a months time when they're 6 months but on the packet it said 1 year. |
