Your pig must have had lice or fleas because mites are microscopic and you cannot see them with the naked eye. But any parasite will make pigs be in pain and not want to be touched.

I was wondering if you decided to keep your guinea pigs?

Re: I can't tame my Guinea Pigs :(

I must be the luckiest gp owner ever! Everyone is saying how most of the piggys run from them and aren't that adjusted to them, even after a long time together. If I put Piper on my bed and then move myself to the other end. She runs right up to me and snuggles up on me. And Chloe actually comes out of her pigloo when she hears me (she knows it means food) but I've only had her for like 2 weeks and already shes so social.

I understand you being fusterated with them not being as tame and loving as you want them to be, but like many others on here have said, they are herd animals and taking one away will only stress out the younger one even more and then you'll probably wind up giving that one away too. So sad.
