Could use some suggestions

I do not yet own a cavy but was wondering if they do get along with other species of animals if they are introduced slowly? I do own a prairie dog and recently one died and the other is lonely and since I can't find another for her due to the ban, I was looking into getting her another playmate. I have received an e-mail recently telling me that her pdog gets along with a neutered rabbit. Hope to hear from everyone and get some opinions and help on this subject. I just want to do the right thing. Thanks

Re: Could use some suggestions

I think most people around here will tell you that it's not a good idea to let guinea pigs play with anything other than other guinea pigs. People try to house guinea pigs with rabbits sometimes, and there is a whole slew of problems with that.

They likely have different social and dietary needs.
