Soon to be my new baby Well as many of you know I have been on the look out to add a few more females to my piggie family. This little girl has caught my eye and we have decided to adopt her. She is part of the rescue of all those pigs that were taken in from the breeder bust in South Carolina. I know you are all wanting pictures of her so here she is (sorry I do not know how to take the picture off of Petfinder and post her on here, hopefully Patricia does not remove her picture til you all have the chance to meet her )http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=6546990 We are looking into possibly getting a couple more, but she is a definate and we will be her official family in the beginning of August. Until than I will be sending the rescue money to pay for her expenses and help out a few of the others they have taken in

Re: Soon to be my new baby OH MY GOOOSH!!!!!! You are the guinea pig queen! And youre thinking of more after this one too??!! Wow. Boy am I jeleous. She is BEAUTIFUL! She looks like a grown up version of my little boy. If she does turn up pregnant are you going to keep a baby or two? I feel so excited, between you and PiggieMom's new addition! Congratulations! What will the housing situation be like?

Re: Soon to be my new baby She is going to remain at the rescue until she is "Safe" from pregnancy watch. I am thinking about adopting another texel to keep with her and try to put in with my current herd. If for whatever reason that does not work I am going to keep them together. I am debating and trying to learn as much as I can about possibly rescuing two skinny pigs in a real need for a good home. I do not know very much about them, never touched one, and am still a bit leary about it. It worries me a lot to know all of the health conditions they can be proned to, and I do not take it well at all when my "babies" are ill or the loss of one of them. I really want to take them in and give them the home they so much deserve, but I am so worried about all the "what-if's)
