A female and male came into the shelter not too long ago. I am guessing that the previous owners (or petstore) missexed them and kept them together, so now the female is pregnant. I just took her home today on foster and set her up in my rabbit's old cage. She is only 4 months old and I am hoping for a smooth delivery. Her name is Snuggles and she is a smooth haired pig with white, tan, and black coloring. I am really hoping this goes better than the last pregnant piggie I fostered. Although she lived, her two babies passed away. Wish us luck!

Re: I have another foster pig! Good Luck! Fosters are always very exciting! It looks like I may be getting a new foster pig too! Although she is a lone pig, so definately not going to be the challenge your new mama will be! Good Luck!

Re: I have another foster pig! Good luck! I know it's always a crap shoot with these little ladies. I don't think my current foster is pregnant, thank goodness. She's a snuggle bug, but is totally disinterested in any toys or new foods I offer her. She only eats a tiny bit of hay, and is just, well, boring! Even on floor time she doesn't move much. The only time she moves really, is to run when I first go to pick her up. Poor thing must have had a very dull life before she came to me.
