Re: boy or girl?

Rather hard to tell, but becuz of the absence of large testicles, and the dot being not seperate, i can say its a girl!

Re: boy or girl?

From the pigtures I think she is a female.

A boars penis usually has a slightly different appearance; it is more of a 3D dot. Young males, while the testicles are undescended (I think that's the right word?) there is often a slightly swollen donut shape around the genitals.

It is hard to be 100% sure of the sex unless you see the pig in person (or in pig, as it were) and can feel around the area, but just from the pigtures "she" does appear to be a she.

One idea is to have a vet check. A second opinion from someone who can see "her" in person would probably be worthwhile.
Having a look through www.cavyspirit.com/sexing.htm would also be worth it for comparison.

Re: boy or girl?

Sow. Sows have kind of a 'slit' in the 'dot' part, for their urethra. Boars just have a hole in the top of their 'dot'.
