| How do you know if your GP is pregnant?! How do you know if your guinea pig is pregnant? I just got a female gp from the local animal shelter three or four weeks ago. I thought that she seemed to be getting really fat, but it just occured to me that she might actually be pregnant. All of the weight gain seems to be toward the belly. According to the small amount of information that I found in a book, GP don't usually show signs of pregnancy until they're four weeks in. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreaciated. |

| Actully, I got a pig and we noticed her getting bigger and bigger in the first week or 2, but she was kind of young so we thought she was just growing. But one day I had her on my lap and my hands were on her stomach and I felt a kick!!! I knew, then, she was definatly pregnant! You may have to hold her a while, but if she is late enough into her pregnancy you will feel kicking, and hear heartbeats! Good Luck! |
