Unhappy Piggie problem

Okay I'm going away for a week and someone els is watching my guinea pig. I'm worried that when I come back he'll forget who I am. Will he forget me?

Re: Piggie problem

No. Mine are off on holiday to my mum's today. They definitely do not act the same with her as they do with me but they only take about a day to settle usually once I come back. Wheeks and cuddles are present the moment they get back home! Mine act like nothing has happened after that!

No, they won't forget you. I've left Louise before, and she was visibly happy to see me when I returned!

Re: Piggie problem

I've been planning a wedding, so my roommate has been helping take care of the boys when I go off for several days here and several days there. They don't forget you. My boys started zooming and popcorning as soon as I came home.

of cource, a food offering is probably nessesary for them to get over the grudge of you leaving them. Im sure they miss you.

I haven't had my piggie for even 6 months so will he still remember me?

Re: Piggie problem

Absolutely! Relax and enjoy your trip. He will be happy to see you when you get back (although the food offering is a good idea, just in case he's a bit miffed at your absence).

Re: Piggie problem

I'm no expert by any means, but i wouldn't worry about it. If just seems that an animal that takes so insanely long to get used and trust you wouldn't just forget about you the second your gone. Though i agree, you might still have to bribe them afterwards. hehe =)
