Love your pics too Martini! My digital camera is new too - and I'm the same - can't stop snapping!!!

Re: Pictures!!!! Good news and bad news.

Martini, your cage is beautiful. I wish I had enough space for a cage like that. You might want to try a potty box filled with shavings or Carefresh near their hay that you can change more often than the rest of the cage.

Coopdog, have you tried using a puppy pad under the most heavily soiled areas? I don't use towels with my fleece (I know it works for some people but it doesn't make sense to me since they always seem to stay wet so long), just newspaper underneath the fleece, and puppy pads under that. The puppy pads are really good at keeping the wetness locked inside, like a diaper I guess.

Janetangel, it sounds like you hit the piggie accessory jackpot. Just make sure you clean everything really well before using it with the piggies.

Yes, I have not put in the tunnels or bricks yet. I will clean them this weekend. I got pigture happy tonight, but I do not know how to load the pictures from the camera, so I am at my husband's mercy to upload them and then share them with my computer.

Re: Pictures!!!! Good news and bad news.

Jarbax: It's addictive isn't it. Seems you have to snap a picture every two seconds. Everything our cavies do is too cute not to be caught on camera. =)

Fairysari: Thank you, my girls are so loving the cage. Though i can tell you it's so hard to catch them when you can't reach the other side (haha). YOu are so right about the litterbox! I still have alot of work to do with it. I'd like a large loft for them, basically the kitchen and litterbox. =)

Coopdog: One thing i'm finding about the wet spots is that (or at least with my girls) they tend to go lay in them because they happen to like sleeping in or around some item in the cage. I simply move things around alot and it seems to work!

O, i caught a picture of Darla with her teddy bear! Again i'm sorry bout the large size, if anyone knows how to change the size i'd be happy to know. =)

Thanx, Fairysari. I have flannel backed crib pads, so perhaps I'll try those.

Re: Pictures!!!! Good news and bad news.

Wow!!! I want that cage! That's is fantabulously big. I love it.

Your pigs are adorable. I love the colors and Abyruvians are beautiful.

I know what you mean about the pigtures. I have deleted 300+ in the last few weeks just from this year. Over the past 18 months I have maybe taken 1500 pics. And I only get the pigs together for real photo shoots - 24 pics (for the whole shoot) - once or twice a month! And then any cute occasions, maybe a visit outdoors, I get extra pics.
I have kept about 500 on the PC and have 400+ in scrapbooks. It's kind of progressing my photography skills. Maybe you could say the same. You're a budding phorographer with willing subjects and a good camera.

Re: Pictures!!!! Good news and bad news.

Now I can see what I am up against when I pignap Darla. I may bring along a Pink Panther and watch the bear fall in love while I pignap.

Re: Pictures!!!! Good news and bad news.

Cavy-Cool-Crazy: Haha, yep! You sound exactly like me. I've gotten to the point of throwing in a small picture of my piggies with almost every email i send out. =) Hmmm... scrapbooks, i didn't think of that!!! Guess what i'm doing on my next days off. hehe

Janetangel: Damn, you thwart me at every turn. Apparently i'm no match for a professional pignapper. =)

Re: Pictures!!!! Good news and bad news.

That is cool, I am a professional and I have not even started yet.
I need to get with JennG so she can do her pignapping and I can do mine. Together we would be unstoppable.
I am going out today to find Pink Panther. I think Toy R Us will have him in stock.

Re: Pictures!!!! Good news and bad news.

I just showed a picture of Darla to my 8 yr old son. He said she looks like "a spikey Lucy". Lucy is our rottweiler mix who looks more like a rottie than anything.

Re: Pictures!!!! Good news and bad news.

Janetangel: Darla is actually named after my old dog. Hehe... also a rottweiler mix. Kinda funny you said that!

Hmmm, Janetangel and JennG. Now that's scary, it's like the diabolical duo. Hide your piggies everyone!!! =)

Re: Pictures!!!! Good news and bad news.

I have a question. I have uploaded my photo's to picture trail and photobucket. The problem is, how do I get them here? I'm getting frustrated because I don't know how to do it. Any ideas?

Re: Pictures!!!! Good news and bad news.

I got some good advice on how to do this very same thing, just the other day! Hope this makes sense!

From photobucket, right click on the image you want and click copy.

Return to thread in forum and write message.

Leave cursor at space where you want image to appear, then right click and paste.

Et voila! (hopefully!)

Re: Pictures!!!! Good news and bad news.

Yesterdays news makes a pellet out of newspaper that I use a lot, it is fairly inexpensive, and really helps keep odours in check, I put it down for half the cage, and leave the other half in fleece with flannel sheets under it. It seems to absorb odour from the fleece side too, you may find with 2 more pigs that you can use some extra help in the odour department!

Jarbax you did it that way? I click on the IMG under the photo and copy and then paste it here.
