Taking care of the fur... My two piggies are long haired, and the fur is getting all tangled up, even when I brush them daily... I don't want to trimm the fur, if I would want a short haired, I would get one like that... I think I got the wrong brush from the pet store, because it doesn't get to the root, where all the mess is starting Can you give any tips on this? How can I do to keep the fur without knots? In the case I decide to trimm the coat, do I need a special trimmer? I mean because of the size of the piggies...

Re: Taking care of the fur... Trim the fur fairly short, especially where it's knotting up. Get a "rat tail" comb and comb daily. Brushes I have found are almost useless for long haired pigs. They can't get deep enough in the hair. I have been using a "rat tail" comb on my long haired girls for a very long time now and it works very well.

Re: Taking care of the fur... I have two long haired girls and only have to keep their butt hair short. I have trimmed them all around just because they were getting alittle long but it grows rather quickly. Plus my other girls like to chew on Mia's (who has the longest) hair if I don't trim it some. I also use a comb more than a brush.
