Question Two Is Better?

I have had my GP for almost 4 years now. Do you think it would be good to get her a friend, even when she is so old. I heard that it is best to get two when they are young. What do you think? Also If it you do think that a second one would be good is a 2x4 C&C big enough? Because that is the biggest one I can fit in the space that I have. Amy is pretty calm (maybe she is just bored though Im not sure.)

I just introduced a buddy to my 2 yr old guinea pig and he loves having him around. I bought a baby and the introduction went really smooth. I would definatly look into getting her a pal. According to this site a 2x4 is plenty big for two piggies. Good luck!

Actually, pigs of different ages make for good introductions. Older pigs tend to be more laid back as well. It's never too late to get her a buddy.

2x4 is recommended for two piggies, althoguh I prefer a 2x5.

I think introducing a younger one would be fine. I introduced a 3 month old sow to my 5 year old sow and it went fine! The 3 month old also had 3 babies (she came to us pregenant) and the 5 year old was fine. Maybe my older sow is just mellow. 2x4 would be fine, but the bigger the better!
