Well today I come home from school and what do I find? A guinea pig, I posted that my mum has allowed me to foster guinea pigs.

Well here is the story. She went to the shelter to find out about it and then she said she couldn’t give the animals back it would be heartbreaking. Well they said well go on then adopt one. She did the great thing is we have already had home visits so we get animals straight away. Basically when I came home from school there was a guinea pig waiting for me.

I love my mum at moments like that. After I asked her last week and she said "Over my dead body". She is still alive.

Also I have not introduced him to Bromers yet is 2 weeks a good quarantine time?

Since coming from a shelter and not an official GP rescue then I think it is 3 weeks, but a vet visit could shorten that. The rescue I got my girls from does a mite treatment on all incoming pigs so I didn't have that as an issue.

Congrats on your new piggie! I wish hubby would do that but alas...

I think standard quarantine time is 3 weeks. Can't wait to see pigtures.
